We are incredibly excited to be welcoming back guests to the wannaB inn!  As we continue to navigate issues surrounding COVID-19, we wanted to update you on the steps we are taking to protect our guests and staff.

What We Are Doing For Your Safety

Our team is taking many preventative measures to mitigate the chance of spreading COVID-19.  These measures include but are not limited to:
  • Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the resort.  Please use the sanitizer prior to entering the pool area and elevators as well as anytime you have an opportunity to sanitize.
  • We are increasing the frequency of sanitizing everything in common areas throughout our resort.
  • Practicing "social distancing" by spacing out chairs on the pool decks at least 6-feet apart, restricting groups and/or crowds of 10 or more, etc.
  • Requiring staff to wash hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and to avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as shaking hands.
  • Mandating that any employee who displays any symptoms of the flu or cold to seek medical assistance and avoid the workplace.
  • Our housekeeping policy includes extensive santizing measures as recommended by the CDC and all rooms are being sprayed with disinfectant spray after cleaning.
  • All of our units will be subject to random blacklight inspections to ensure cleanliness.

What We Expect From wannaB inn Guests

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.  If soap and water are not readily available, use the hand sanitizer provided throughout the resort.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • If you cough or sneeze, do it into your sleeve, or use a tissue.  Dispose of the tissue immediately into a closed rubbish bin, and then clean your hands.
  • Social distancing is a must.  Please remain 6 ft apart when in public areas of the resort and at the beach for your safety and the safety of other guests.
  • Only two people at a time are allowed on the elevators (with the exception of family members).
  • Both resort pools will have a limit of 25 people in the pool area at any time.  If this safety measure is not adhered to, we will close the pools.
We request that our guests follow CDC Social Distancing Guidelines and recommendations while at the wannaB inn.

March 31, 2020

To our valued Guests:

As you are all aware, we find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic, which is causing everyone – business and individuals to completely alter every day activities and lifestyles.

While we sincerely wish that we could continue ‘business as usual’, we cannot.

At this moment, the health and safety of our staff and guests is our most paramount concern. As responsible corporate citizens, we are temporarily closing the wannaB inn effective April 8, 2020 to do our part to flatten the growth rate of the COVID-19 virus . We are planning to resume operations on May 21 and are contacting all guests that have been impacted by this temporary shut down.

As our dedicated guests, you all returned after Irma and Red Tide, and we trust you will do the same once we get through this difficult time. This dire situation came with no warning, and we understand that it is not your fault, nor is it ours. We will make a sincere effort to communicate information about the resort, as we continue to navigate this situation that is beyond our control.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 941 474 3431, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Be safe, and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

Sincerely,

Your wannaB inn Team

To our valued Guests,

Approximately one month ago, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close the wannaB inn in order to do our part to flatten the growth rate of the COVID-19 virus.  Over that time, the virus has continued to impact our daily lives and forced us to adjust our activities and lifestyles on an almost daily basis.

Over the past month, our team has continued to monitor our situation with the health and safety of our staff and guests as our primary focus.  As a result, we have made the difficult decision to extend our temporary closure.  At this time, the wannaB inn is planning to resume operations on June 4, and we are contacting all those guests that will be impacted by this extension.

We understand that this will be upsetting news for some, but trust that this decision was not made in haste.  As our dedicated guests, you have become family to us, and it is our goal to welcome you all back again when it is deemed safe to do so.  We will continue to provide updates about the resort as we adjust to the ongoing impact of this virus.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at 941 474 3431, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Be safe, and we look forward to hosting you again soon.

Sincerely,

Your wannaB inn Team
